I began my health and fitness career at the young age of 19. While attending the University of Alabama, I started my first job at a fitness center and quickly fell in love with the industry and helping others. I became a certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer, then spent the first portion of my career managing gyms. I have spend the last 32 years helping people create healthy active lifestyles through exercise and good nutrition.
In 2013, I was a tired and exhausted mom of 2 young boys. Even as an avid exerciser and fitness pro, I had 10 pounds that just would not budge. I lacked confidence. I struggled with cravings, heartburn, allergies and skin issues. I looked healthy on the outside, but I soon discovered what was causing all of my issues. I had an unbalanced gut. Fitness professionals were not taught about gut health, so I educated myself. I became a Weight Management Specialist in 2018 and that was my first training that focused on the gut. It was the missing link for me and my clients.
I went from having the mindset of " I eat healthy and exercise. I don't need supplements." to one of EVERYONE needs to be taking quality probiotics and supplements. Our modern diets and lifestyles do not give us what we need. Most people are deficient in key nutrients and good bacteria in the gut.
